recognizes a community or partnership working together in economic development
• Marketing Award
recognizes achievement in marketing that supports economic development
The importance of local economic development has been credited as being one of the main engines of economic growth and diversification. Individuals, communities and local business associations who plan for success, provide quality information, education and implement strategic marketing programs are known to be at the forefront of economic growth and job creation.
In recognition of this the Economic Development Association of British Columbia present the annual Economic Development Awards commemorating the effort and achievement of individuals and communities.
The selection of winners is made by a panel of judges, which includes representatives of the Economic Developers Association of Canada, the Community Futures Development Association of British Columbia, Meyers Norris Penny and representatives of the board of EDABC.
HOW TO APPLY
Simply fill out a nomination form and submit either by e-Mail to Wheeldon@edabc.com or by mailing ten (10) hard copies to Economic Development Awards Committee c/o EDABC, 5428 Highroad Crescent, Chilliwack, BC, V2R 3Y1 Each submission must include a digital photo or disk that can be used during the presentation ceremony.
NOMINATIONS ARE ACCEPTED UP TO 4:00 pm, APRIL 7, 2008
The awards presentation will be held at the EDABC Conference. May 4th through 6th 2008 Prince George Conference Centre, Prince George, BC
