2019 #BCEcDevWeek

Happy #BCEcDevWeek 2019!

We at BCEDA are so excited to highlight all the great people, projects and partnerships that are focused on economic development in British Columbia.

“It really is those involved at the local level who deserve the credit for implementing initiatives to support strong local economies. Whether it is the development of the Spirit Bear Lodge (Kitasoo/Xai’xais Nation), a new Shop Local program in Christina Lake, a foreign trade zone point in Prince George, or the rebranding of Tumbler Ridge, it is all economic development. We are proud of the work our communities are doing and encourage all citizens throughout BC to take the time this week to recognize the hard work that goes in to supporting the economic sustainability of a local economy.” - Dale Wheeldon, BCEDA President & CEO

BCEDA acknowledges that the Government of BC is committed to building a healthy and growing economy that advances the economic, social and environmental well-being of all British Columbians throughout the province. The Province of BC has created a summary of events happening online and around BC and beyond during Economic Development Week.

Thank you to the Honourable Bruce Ralston, Minister of Jobs, Trade and Technology for your greetings and to the Government of British Columbia for proclaiming May 6th to 12th, 2019 as British Columbia Economic Development Week.
