A province-wide delivery and resilience framework
Economic development in British Columbia happens at the community level, but it is shaped by policies, programs, and investments from both the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada.
The British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) plays a unique role in connecting these provincial and federal priorities with local and Indigenous implementation. As a neutral convenor and delivery partner, BCEDA works across governments, regions, and communities to support economic development, build local capacity, and strengthen resilience during periods of disruption.
The model below illustrates how BCEDA connects federal and provincial economic priorities with local governments, Indigenous Nations, and regional organizations across British Columbia. It also highlights our role in economic disaster recovery and community resilience through DisasterSmartBC.
