The British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors. The Board is composed of eleven members: ten elected directors and the Immediate Past Chair.
To ensure broad provincial representation, the Nominating Committee considers the expiration of terms and works to maintain a balanced Board with representatives from the following geographic regions:
The remaining directors are appointed as members-at-large to ensure diversity and expertise.
If a qualified candidate cannot be found from a specific region, the Board may waive regional representation and seek a candidate from a neighbouring area. In situations where a Board member relocates to a different region, they may continue serving as a member-at-large.
This structure ensures that BCEDA’s leadership reflects the regional diversity of our province while maintaining flexibility to serve the needs of our members effectively.
